Koenz and Burch Swiss slopestyle champs

The final stop of the Europa Cup tour currently staged in Corvatsch, Switzerland is also serving as Swiss national championships with Elena Koenz and Dario Burch having won the slopestyle title.

Facing challenging weather conditions, defending champion Koenz successfully kept hold to her title with a score of 94.70.

“It's been tough to ride, it was cold and windy. But in the end I had a good feeling,” said the 29-year-old gold medallist after the flower ceremony.

Isabel Derungs and Lia-Mara Boesch rounded out the podium of the nationals as respective second and third.

Over in the men's event, Burch brought home his career's first with a score of 93.00 therefore closing out his competitive season in style.

“It's been fun to ride with everybody here at Corvatsch – and to win the Swiss championships, for the first time ever,” he said.

Michael Schaerer finished in second position (91.70) while Jonas Boesiger placed third with a 89.70.
