Rohrer and Burgener new Swiss halfpipe champions

With the season closing out soon, Swiss riders have met in Laax to find out who is the best of the strong halfpipe nation.

By winning the Europa Cup event in the world's biggest halfpipe, defending champion Verena Rohrer and 2017 world championships bronze medallist Patrick Burgener took home the precious titles.

In the women's event, Anna Mueller and Babet Bischof rounded out the podium as respective second and third best Swiss shredder.

In the men's competition, Jan Scherrer got some redemption as second for crashing hard on his shoulder in the halfpipe finals of the Sierra Nevada 2017 world championships while David Habluetzel placed third.
