Not only by hugely investing in facilities and infrastructure to bring more and more Chinese to the snow but also to keep on gaining experience in hosting big events.
That said, the resort of Secret Garden is the first new resort to join the World Cup host family hosting the second-ever Halfpipe World Cup on Chinese soil since Yabuli did so back in 2011.
Located in the Hebei Province, the Genting Resort Secret Garden is an ideal place for snow and mountain sports.
The average temperature is 38 F (3.3 C), and the snow period is as long as 150 days, running from late November to late March.
For the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, the Genting Resort Secret Garden will be transformed into the Genting Snow Park A and Genting Snow Park B to stage the freestyle skiing and snowboard medal events, respectively.
VENUE
While the resort is partly still under construction, the Malaysia based investor's goal is to make it the biggest snow tourist spot in China.
When fully built, it's supposed to provide a total of 87 slopes with a total length of 43 miles (70 kilometres) and a total area of 647 acres (262 hectares).
The ski resort will be able to accommodate 19,610 skiers at one time. Additionally, 22 cable lines will be installed, with a combined length of 19 miles (30 kilometres).
