It's  been a minute, but this week we're back with another edition of the crucial content collection known as the Monday Mix.

According to the calander we've got just over a week left in what's officially known as "summer" in the north, which means that temperatures are cooling down and anticipation is heating up ahead of what is inarguably one of the most anticipated competition seasons we've ever seen.

With the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games less than five months away and the World Cup calander filling up - including a fresh Park & Pipe announcement that we've got coming up later this week - things are kicking into high gear already.

And, as is tradition, this means riders from around the world are descending on the Alps to start getting their stomping legs read before we open the season at the Big Air Chur in October.

If there's anybody out there whose shredding says more than words could ever say about the joy of being on a snowboard, it's Rene Rennekangas, and his latest clip from Saas Fee turns the stoke levels way up to 10 once again...

A post shared by Rene Rinnekangas (@renerinnekangas)

Also no stranger to stoke is Nicolas Huber, who's on the scene in Hintertux and getting buck in the slush with an epicly loose back 14 nose...

Speaking of Hintertux, the Werni Stock Invitational is coming up at the end of the month, running from Sept 30-Oct 3. This is the third time the legend Mr. Stock has hosted what's become an early-season highlight, and we can't wait to see what sort of goodness is set to come out of the Tux between now and then...

One more from Hintertux, where Austrian queen Anna Gasser is warming up for the season, keeping in smooth and simple the jump line...

Back to Saas, where Sven Thorgren dropped this dunk on everybody hanging out on jump #2 instead of getting after it. Get the sound up to hear Sven lettin' 'em know the big dog is coming...

Stoked to see Pat Burgener back on board and ripping already, just six months after knee surgery...

We interrupt this Euro content splurge to bring you some indoor action from Japan, courtesy of Ryo Aizawa...

Ever wondered what it feels like to do a front dub 12? Emil Zulian's got u, dear friendo. Drop in and get dizzy...

A post shared by Emil Zulian (@emilzulian)

Over in Breuil-Cervinia, Emil's Italian compagno di squadra Leo Framerin dropped this extremly rare 50-50 frontside 720 out of the inverted rainbow rail. You do NOT see this one very often...

A post shared by Leo Framarin (@manaccio_)

You know what else is rare? The tailbutter carve, as exemplified in dramatic black and white slo-mo detail by Russia's finest, Vlad Khadarin....

A post shared by Vlad Khadarin (@vladkhadarin)

And that serves as a nice segway out of the freestyle updates for a bit and over to some more carve-oriented clips, beginning with Arvid Auner, who's on site in Soelden and laying down some nice esses...

A post shared by Arvid Auner 💯 (@arvid_auner)

Also on site in Soelden is Arvid's teammate Alexander Payer, arcing a toeside to perfection in this beauty of a still...

Tim Mastnak is over in Plateau Rosa, and while we'd love to see some action on board we're also down to take a minute and just enjoy the view, especially when it's this pretty...

A post shared by Tim Mastnak™ (@timmastnak)

Speaking of pretty views, this shot from Nevin Galmarini stretching it out at home in Scuol is truly incredible...

A post shared by Nevin Galmarini (@nevingalmarini)

Beautiful stuff from the Spanish SBX squad here, who are on site in Saas Fee and enjoying the prime cross course the resort has once again put together for early season training...

A post shared by RFEDI (@rfedinv)

While reigning SBX Olympic gold medallist Michaela Moioli will be getting back to snow shredding real quick, and she should be in fine form judging by how well she handles herself out on the wakesurf board in this clip...

A post shared by Michela Moioli (@michela_moioli)

We're getting close to wrapping it up for this week, but before we do, a big shoutout to Chris Corning, who turned his girlfriend Shannatay into his fianceé over the weekend...

A post shared by Chris Corning (@chriscorning)

And now our final clip for this week, where we head into the enchanted forest with Benny Milam for one of the most mind-blowing clips you're going to see this summer...

That's it for this week's Mix! Stay tuned to our social media channels later on the week when we'll be making our next big competition announcement, and we'll see you back here in this column next Monday.
