With three and a half months to go before the start of the 2023/24 FIS Snowboard and FIS Freeski World Cup campaigns, the season-opening Big Air Chur festival has announced the (almost) complete line-up of musical acts that are set to soundtrack the two days of high-octane action in the capital of Switzerland’s Graubünden canton from 20-21 October, 2023.

Germany’s happy hardcore/electronic veterans Scooter and major label rapper G-Eazy of the USA will get the top billings of the Big Air Chur weekend, with Scooter set to close down the main stage after Friday’s freeski finals, and G-Eazy holding down Saturday’s showcase slot after snowboard finals.

Along with Scooter, Friday’s line-up will also include the appropriately-named German rapper Ski Aggu, Swiss indie rock band Nesta and the Blondes, and one as-yet unnamed artist who will take second billing below Scooter.

For Saturday, Big Air Chur attendees can look forward to performances by German singer/rapper Nina Chuba, German rapper (and skateboarder) Makko, a collection of local Swiss rappers such as Spoonman, Gimma and Lou Zarra on hand to celebrate “30 years of Bundner rap”, and Swiss singer Gigi all throwing down ahead of G-Eazy’s headline performance.

Of course, the action doesn’t stop there, with a myriad of dj’s and other performers set to play side-stages and afterparties throughout the weekend.

And then there’s the shredding, where some 150 freeski and snowboard athletes will be on hand at the Big Air Chur to push their limits on the massive, 300-ton scaffold city jump, hoping to grab a spot in the night finals and open their World Cup seasons on the highest of highs in front of 12,000+ screaming fans.

Now three years into its starring role as the FIS Freeski and FIS Snowboard Park & Pipe season starting competition, the Big Air Chur has already achieved legendary status, and this year’s edition promises to be the best one yet.
