The 2024/25 Telemark season is shaping up to be a thrilling ride, building on the momentum of last season when Jasmin Taylor (GBR) and Elie Nabot (FRA) clinched the coveted World Cup titles. This season brings not only new challenges but also the return of two formidable competitors: Nicolas Michel (SUI) and Trym Nygaard Loeken (NOR), who are set to shake up the men's competition.

On the women’s side, Jasmin Taylor will be looking to defend her title against a strong field of rising talents. Léa Lathion (SUI), Augustine Carliez (FRA), Laly Chaucheprat (FRA), and Goril Strom Eriksen (NOR) are poised to challenge her dominance, making for an unpredictable and exciting season.

This is a new position for me, a new challenge and experience, and this winter will probably be tougher than ever. We have new athletes, new organisers, and a new Race Director. It’s an exciting time to be a part of the sport.Jasmin Taylor (GBR), 2023/24 Overall Globe winner

For Elie Nabot, the stakes are equally high:
"It’s going to be an exciting season with the return of Trym and Nico, and my teammates on the French team will also be big contenders! The competition is dense with talented rivals, and defending my title will be no easy task. But that’s what makes the season so thrilling—I can’t wait to take on the challenge and hopefully play a leading role again."

With eight World Cup stops and the World Championships on the calendar, this season demands stamina, mental strength, and unwavering determination from athletes aspiring to lift the coveted Globe.

New venues, exciting prospects

FIS Telemark Race Director Adrian Pery highlighted the diverse and dynamic season ahead:
"We have a packed schedule with races in exciting locations across Europe, culminating in the World Championships in Les Contamines Montjoie (FRA), the World Cup Finals in Thyon (SUI), and the stand-alone Junior World Championships in Bardonecchia (ITA).

It will be incredible to close the season showcasing our best young athletes, who represent the future of Telemark.Adrian Pery, FIS Telemark World Cup Race Director

The Scandinavian rounds in Trillevallen (SWE) and Ål (NOR) are particularly intriguing. The Norwegian team is notoriously strong on home snow, making them serious contenders to shake up the standings. Meanwhile, Sweden’s national team, bolstered by two promising rookies, is rapidly gaining popularity and is eager to shine in front of their home crowd.

France poised for glory

The French team will aim to solidify its position as a global leader with the World Championships taking place in Les Contamines Montjoie, the hometown of head coach Antoine Bouvier. This event promises to be a showcase of French excellence—Telemark at its finest.

The World Championships in Les Contamines Montjoie are a major objective for me. Competing for gold at home, in front of family and friends, is a dream, and I hope to make 2025 unforgettable.Elie Nabot (FRA), 2023/24 Overall Globe winner

Closing on a high note

The season wraps up in Bardonecchia (ITA) with the Junior World Championships, offering a glimpse into the future of Telemark as the sport’s youngest talents take center stage.
