National champions of the 22/23 season

While the majority of athletes have completed their post-season training on snow and most are enjoying a well-earned break in the sun or at home, let's take a moment to mention the National Champions of the 2022/2023 season.
From Olympic champions to World champions, the National Championships line-up is full of superstars every year.
In every country, the majority of the world's biggest names are present in their home soil.
The Swiss superstar, Marco Odermatt, was present in Bruson where a big number of fans came to admire their idol.
Olympic and World Champion in Giant Slalom, the Swiss Giant Slalom title was the only title missing from his list of successes. This has now been achieved. Marco Odermatt won the national Giant Slalom in Bruson (VS)
On the women's side, Wendy Holdener took third place in the women's slalom race, bringing her national medal tally to 23.
The well-deserved winner of the day was young Anuk Braendli who was faster than Olympic medallist Wendy Holdener.
On the men's side it was also a young talent who won the slalom. After his vice World Junior Champion title in Super-G, Lenz Haechler won his first national title
On the Norwegian side, the superstars were also present and skied to victory.
Lucas Braathen, the winner of the slalom globe this season, and Henrik Kristoffersen, the World Champion of the discipline, were present in Trysil where they distinguished themselves on the top step of the podium.
In the giant slalom it was also the tenor of the World Cup who were in the lead. All three of them were on the World Cup podium this season, and it's Alexander Steen Olsen who won in front of Rasmus Windingstad and Henrik Kristoffersen.
Thea Louise Stjernesund, bronze medallist in parallel at the World Championships in Courchevel/Meribel this season, won both the slalom and giant slalom titles, just as she already achieved the double in 2021.
In Hinterstoder, Austria, several world medallists also claimed the national title.
Nina Ortlieb, vice world champion in downhill, was crowned Austrian downhill and Super-g champion, while Marco Schwarz showed his polyvalence once again by winning the super-G.
Italy was also privileged to have some champions among them for the race. Federica Brignone and Elena Curtoni took first two places in the women's Super-G race. On the men's side, several regular World Cup names were on the podium, including Christof Innerhofer, Mattia Casse, Stefano Gross, Tommaso Sala and Filippo Della Vite.
In the French resort of Orres, the national championships were held with a touch of bitterness. The superstar Tessa Worley bid farewell by winning the Super-G while Nastasia Noens won the slalom before her retirement.
On the men's side, Johan Clarey also bid farewell by taking 3rd place in the downhill
After a record-breaking season, the Americans were not able to see Mikaela Shiffrin racing on American soil. However, there were several familiar names on the podium including Paula Moltzan who celebrated her first World Cup podium of the season and claimed the Giant Slalom nation title.
On the men's side, Tommy Ford won the Giant slalom ahead of Brian Mclaughlin and River Radamus.
