6th FIS Course Builders and Designers Clinic takes place at PRINOTH’s headquarter in Sterzing (ITA)

For the sixth consecutive season, Prinoth has partnered with FIS to host a course builders and designers clinic, which took place from September 27th to 29th, 2019.

Continuing FIS’s effort to constantly improve standards for safety and creativity in cross as well as park & pipe course design and construction, the clinic offers an unique opportunity to share the knowledge and build up best practice experience for the future development of the sport in a successful and sustainable way.

And again this year over 40 experts and ski industry stakeholders gathered at Prinoth’s headquarter in Sterzing (ITA), where three days of workshops took place with numerous presentations from the FIS, ski resort representatives, terrain park managers, event organisers and scientists.

“The FIS clinic – hosted by Prinoth since 2014 - is an important step to strengthen our long-term partnership with FIS. It provides us with the great chance to stay in touch with the experts in the park design scene. Thus, we are able to tune in on recent trends - especially for the upcoming World Cup season where Prinoth is supporting again with the latest park snow groomers and the SNOW HOW technology” said Christian Nagele, Chief Sales Officer at Prinoth.

The theoretical session covered various topics from the insights of major event organisation and determining key factors in terrain park and course building, through market and cost analysis, finishing with a look into new technology and future development of the ski industry.

Based on the positive feedback from previous years, clinic’s participants once again had a chance  to engage in on-snow session in Stelvio, putting into practice some of the ideas on course design and building, safety, physic as well as learning about the new Prinoth technology.

On-site experience also included training sessions at Prinoth X-Camp providing an opportunity to learn about all behind-the-scene aspects of organising such a complex event. The goal was to show benefits of using new technology for building and maintaining the slopes.
