Countdown to Big Air World Cup in Modena

The 2019/20 FIS Freeski and Snowboard World Cup season is set to kick into gear in just under three weeks with the city big air competition at Modena Skipass on November 2-3.

After a successful last year’s event that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Modena Skipass winter sport trade show and festival, again this year the world’s best athlete will be on hand in Italy to thrill the crowd and compete for World Cup points.

The entry lists give plenty of reasons to get excited for the Modena Skipass event with numerous Olympic and World Championships medallists confirmed to compete in Italy.

Then there is a massive man-made scaffold ramp that will stand 46m tall and 130m long, making it one of the biggest ever constructed for the World Cup competition.

The anticipation ahead of the inaugural FIS Freeski and Snowboard World Cup competition in the Northern Hemisphere is high, and based on last year’s experience we can easily expect another stellar event that will kick off the 2019/20 season for good.

The snowboard competition are slated to go down on Saturday,  Nov 2, while the freeski event will follow up on Sunday,  Nov 3.
