Kevin Rolland sustains injury

On April 30, Kevin Rolland sustained a serious injury after taking a hard crash while attempting to beat the quarterpipe high air world record at his home resort in La Plagne, France. Rolland was transported to the University Hospital in Grenoble in a critical contidions, but the report from his medical team indicates that his condition has been stabilised.
The 29-year-old Rolland has been one of the best halfpipe skiers in over a decade. Debuting on the World Cup circuit back in 2006, the freeskier from La Plagne has 15 World Cup podiums, including 6 victories to his record. He won four World Championships medals, eight X-Games medals and the Dew Tour Superpipe title from 2011. Rolland also won the bronze medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, and lately he finished with the silver medal at the Utah 2019 World Championships in Park City.
