For yet another season Idre Fjall (SWE) is expected to host what probably is going to be the biggest moguls competition of the entire season with already more than 100 registered athletes. This upcoming weekend, November 19-20, the FIS Open competitions will take place on the venue, where just in three weeks from now the moguls elite will compete during the second stop of the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup season.

As in the previous years, also this season the moguls course in Idre sarved as a final training ground for numerous national teams, before the World Cup as well as Continental Cup season kicks off for good.

In 2021/22 Idre hosted a historic event with a record-breaking numbers of participants with more than 170 athletes competing in back-to-back events. In order to facilitate more than 170 participants, the competition had to be conducted in a double-up format, splitting up the judging panel in half, in a similar way that is used for instance over in the freeski World Cup competitions.

Perrine Laffont, Tess Johnson, Jaelin Kauf, Ikuma Horishima, Walter Wallberg, Benjamin Cavet or Ludvig Fjallstrom are just some of the big names that stood on the podium in the previous two editions of Idre’s event. This season there are more than 103 registered athletes from seven different nations, so once again we’re expecting a top-tier show.

To make things even more exciting the Swedish Moguls Team will run a live-stream broadcast through their Youtube channel, so get the popcorn ready as we’re about to start an action-packed moguls weekend in Sweden.

Both Saturday's and Sunday's competitions are scheduled to start at 9:20 with women’s qualifications. Men’s qualifications are set for 11:40 with finals following in the afternoon at 14:10.

Full competition programme can be found HERE, and as for the start lists, future results, live-scoring and more, see HERE.
