As announced by Freestyle Canada, the former Canadian National Team athlete, Philippe Marquis, will be joining their mogul coaching team.

As a retired World Cup and Olympic competitor he brings extensive experience alongside technical knowledge gained coaching in Colorado over the past three years.

Phil achieved a successful career as a mogul athlete, where he competed on the world stage from 2012 to 2019, earning 13 World Cup podiums including two wins, as well as Winter Olympic appearances in Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018.

“After spending 12 years as a Freestyle Canada athlete, it’s quite exciting to come back to the system in a coaching role,” expressed Phil. “Over the past three years, I’ve learnt a lot working at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (USA), built a new set of skills, and collected valuable experience. With the start of a new quadrennial, the timing couldn’t be any better and I’m looking forward to the upcoming challenges. I feel like I’m rejoining my ski family and I’m excited to reconnect with many athletes that I’ve seen grow over the years and coaches that I’ve worked with.”
