FIS Head of Para Classification Sandra Titulaer awarded IPC Classification Recognition Award

Sandra Titulaer, FIS Head of Para Alpine Skiing and Para Snowboard Classification, has been acknowledged by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) with a Classification Recognition Award.

The award works to highlight those who have made a significant contribution to the growth and development in the Paralympic Movement.

It is just the second time this award has been issued, as the IPC looks to honour and celebrate individuals for their dedicated service to the development of classification at national and international levels.

Sandra began her journey as a classifier in 2010 and has since made immense strides in Para sport, which included becoming an adaptive alpine ski instructor and joining FIS in 2012.

Her passion and dedication to Para winter sports is clear, constantly looking to adopt an athlete-centred approach in everything she does.

She assisted the IPC with the introduction of Para Snowboard ahead of the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games, playing an important role in ensuring a smooth debut for the sport.

Beyond her help on the slopes, Sandra is committed to education and mentorship, sharing her expertise and passion for Para sport with others where she can.
