PCR: Würth wins with 100 meters, Hansen disqualified

The Provisional Competition Round for the Women’s FIS Summer Grand Prix in Oberwiesenthal (GER) took place today in changing weather conditions.

After light rain during training, the sky cleared up over the Fichtelbergschanze HS105 with summer temperatures.

24 athletes from 9 nations were on the Start List for two training jumps and the PCR afterwards.

German Svenja Würth reached 100 meters and collected 109.6 points, securing the victory of the PCR on home soil.

The furthest jump of the day was performed by Ema Volavsek with 101 meters. With 108 points the Slovenian took the second place, ahead of Nathalie Armbruster (96m, 106.7 pts) from Germany.

Gyda Westvold Hansen, who was in the lead after a 100 meter jump, was disqualified due to an irregular suit.

The Ski Jumping round of the Women’s Individual Gundersen will take place tomorrow at 12:45 CET.
