The wait is over: From October 30 until November 1 the start gates of the Audi Skicross Tour will open again. With one FIS and one junior FIS race taking place on the glacier of Saas-Fee (SUI) – homebase to the Swiss ski cross team – the Swiss national Skicross Tour will commence.

110 athletes from nine nations have signed up for the FIS races, which calls for quite an international edition this year.  Qualifications are going down on October 30, followed by the FIS race on Thursday and the junior FIS race on Friday. The competitions are taking place on the already quite famous training course of the Swiss ski cross team. Many teams have come here over the past few weeks to train under perfect conditions on an amazing track which had to be maintained daily. Even when the course was completely covered in snow one day, coaches from all nations got together to dig the course out again and give their athletes perfect training conditions. But not only countless training runs, also nation races went down on this track with quite a successful outcome, so let´s see what the Audi Skicross Tour races will have in place for us.

Next to many young athletes, Swiss veterans like Alex Fiva, Ryan Regez, Jonas Lenherr and other Swiss national athletes will get their bibs on to have some competition feeling before the World Cup kicks-off with the first stop of the Cross Alps Tour in Val Thorens (FRA) with a double competition on December 6 and 7.
