Double World Cup action in Montafon
Sep 24, 2019·Ski CrossFrom December 11 to 14, 2019 the Austrian Ski Federation will present the Audi FIS Ski Cross and FIS Snowboard World Cup competitions on the mountain at Hochjoch. Action-packed races during the day plus a highly entertaining evening programme led by the German band Silbermond and Austria´s newcomer of the year LEMO down in the valley will mark this year’s edition of the World Cup weekend in Montafon.
After three days of training and qualifications you will see the finals of the FIS Snowboard World Cup go down on Friday, December 13, where surely some unreal passing manoeuvres and jumps will leave the spectators breathless.
On Saturday, December 14, the world class athletes will fight for the Audi FIS Ski Cross Alps Tour trophy on its second stop of the tour. The December highlight tour consists of six races in four locations (Val Thorens, Montafon, Arosa, Innichen) spread across seventeen days and one male and one female Cross Alps Tour winner awarded at its last race in Innichen, Italy. Spectators and fans can cheer their favorite athletes on with just a valid ticket to the Silvretta Montafon railway. Entrance to the event venue is free.
After some adrenalin rushes on the mountain, spectators have the chance to relax and enjoy the concerts by the band Silbermond and LEMO down in the valley Schruns.
