Best ski cross photo finish moments of the season

This past weekend, ski cross fans got to vote on the FIS Freestyle Instagram channel between the tightest photo finish moments of the season among men and women.
Indeed, the choice was a tough one, as for women the two photo finish moments to choose from were:
The French battle between Alizee Baron and team mate Marielle Berger-Sabbatel in Sweden’s Idre Fjall, where in the end it was Baron winning by an inch, making it back to the top of the podium
The ongoing battle between Fanny Smith (SUI) and Sandra Naeslund (SWE) could not have come any closer than at the big final in Russia’s Sunny Valley. The victory was decided literally at the finish line, where on first sight nobody knew who had won, not even the two athletes themselves. It turned out that Smith took the win for that one in a super tight photo finish, which was the one that fans voted to re-watch on social media by 78 % of the votes.
On the men’s side of things, we got to witness some very close fights at the very finish line as well. Fans got to vote between the following two moments:
A Swiss battle between Ryan Regez and team mate Jonas Lenherr at the semi finals in Idre Fjall had the Swiss team hold their breaths for a split moment, when the two crossed the finish line seemingly at the very same moment. The photo finish showed that Lenherr managed to take the win on that one by a mere inch.
It was a tight battle already at the beginning of the Audi FIS Ski Cross World Cup tour at the second stop in Val Thorens, where it was a decisive photo finish moment in the quarter final between Jean-Frederic Chapuis (FRA), after whom the Val Thorens track is named, and once again Jonas Lenherr (SUI). Fans voted for this epic photo finish moment with a majority of 67 % of votes.
