Team Japan, Team Germany, Team Austria

A strong team performance without any weak points ensured a surprisingly clear success for the German team in the last competition of the summer. The German team collected over 40 points ahead of the team from Japan.
"That was mega fun, today everyone gave their best performance and to win with a lead of over 40 points is quite something," Katharina Schmid, triple world champion from planica, was pleased after the success.
Martin Haman, who had already convinced yesterday as the best German in 6th place, could also fully convince on Sunday: "That was a dream and that remains a dream. How it went for me this weekend is unbelievable. But even greater distances would have been possible, we know what we still have to work on" explained Haman. The Saxon trains with ex-Swiss coach Ronny Hornschuh and that obviously fits very well.

Coach Stefan Horngacher was accordingly satisfied: "That was a bit better than yesterday, yesterday the jumps were already good, but the results didn't really show that.
Today Andreas Wellinger was very strong and Martin Haman presented himself exceptionally well today, he was able to keep up with Daniel Tschofenig today, that was a very very good day for us," Horngacher was pleased with the team's success.

The team from Japan in the line-up of Sara Takanashi, Ren Nikaido, Yuki Ito and Ryoyu Kobayashi secured second place ahead of the team from Austria ( Daniel Tschofenig, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, Marita Kramer and Manuel Fettner) with an equally strong team performance."All in all, we can leave today's competition on a positive note.It was certainly not a matter of course to be on the podium at this competition, the teams were all very close together.I had a hard time with the inrun today, there was no water and I had problems with that" said Fettner.
Fourth place went to the team from Slovenia with the two high-flyers Ema Klinec and Nika Kriznar as well as Timi Zajc and Anze Lanisek. Norway finished 5th ahead of the pleasingly strong Finns in sixth place.
Switzerland and Italy reached the final and finished 7th and 8th.
Now the hot phase of the season preparations for the winter season 2023/2024 begins for all teams. For the men the World Cup starts on the last November weekend in Ruka (FIN), for the women then one week later in Lillehammer (NOR), there the men have then at the same place the second station of the winter.
