Cerro Catedral: Final preparation gets underway
Aug 31, 2018·Snowboard CrossSeptember 8 till 10, 2017 will mark a special week in the evolution of winter sports in Argentina as Cerro Catedral will become the second ever national host of FIS Snowboard World Cup events.
With the last couple of weeks being dedicated to gathering tons of snow to build a superb course for the first back-to-back snowboard cross races of the 2017-18 World Cup season, the crew at site together with Todd Main has now started with the actual course building phase.
“The construction of the course will take two weeks of hard work. We will be working at daylight so everybody at Pista 2000 can come and check the progression of the course work,” said Philou Gillot of the Catedral Snow Center team.
