Vola-Go Telemark Rising Star Award

Ella Strom Eriksen (NOR) and Alexis Page (FRA) have won the Vola-GoTelemark Rising Star Award. The best woman and the best man of the Junior World Championships were awarded with the Vola-GoTelemark Rising Star Award.

The young athletes, who were the most successful in the three races of the Junior World Championships in Mürren Schilthorn, each received the Vola-GoTelemark Rising Star Award. Ella Strom Eriksen (NOR) showed great performances with the title in Classic and Sprint. Alexis Page (FRA) was the most consistent athlete with 3 individual second places.

The award, created by the GoTelemark Association and supported materially by Vola, aims to encourage the next generation of telemark skiers and to honour the performances of the future telemark elite.

The prizes were handed out by Bastien Dayer, overall winner of the 2021-2022 World Cup and President of GoTelemark, on the closing evening of the Junior World Championships on the Schilthorn. All the winners were very pleased to receive this award, which motivates them to progress in the discipline.

The GoTelemark association was founded in 2020 by Amélie Wenger-Reymond and Bastien Dayer, current world champions.

With this association, they want to put their passion at the service of promoting the discipline in all its diversity, both for amateur and competitive sports.

In the last two years, various projects have been realised, such as the launch of bandanas for the Swiss Telemark Community (@swiss_telemark_community) and the organisation of several FIS races for young telemark skiers in Thyon.
