Next Saturday on 19th November, the ski cross season finally starts with the Austrian Championships at Pitztal Glacier in Austria, followed by the first Europacup of the season on Sunday 20 th November.

The Ski Cross Europacup season will in total see 14 races taking place at seven different venues.

Due to the lack of snow in Europe, Pitztal was one of the few skiresorts which had a Cross park, where ski and snowboard cross athletes from all over the world had the chance to train together for the upcoming season.

As expected, the Pitztal races are used as a test by many World Cup teams before the FIS Ski Cross World Cup Season 22/23 finally starts on 8 December in Val Thorens (FRA).

Next to the whole Austrian national team, the Austrian Ski Association already confiremd that the entire Canadian, German and Swiss Ski Cross World Cup teams, including Olympic Champion Ryan Regez, will be there to test their skills and strenght head-to-head for the very first time this season.
