Norway's Anders Fannemel on Saturday and Philipp Raimund from Germany on Sunday were the beaming winners of the two COC competitions in Ruka (FIN) this weekend.
On Saturday the start had been postponed several times because of too strong wind and in the end there was only one competition run.

Anders Fannemel prevailed on Saturday with the day's best distance of 141.5 meters ahead of Norway's Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng and Finland's Eetu Nousiainen. The surprise of the day was provided by Turkey's Muhammed Ali Bedir in 5th place.
"It was a really difficult day in tough conditions and I didn't have the best confidence today, but I think I benefited from my experience today and I certainly had the necessary luck that you just need on a day like this" explained the 33-year-old day winner.

On Sunday it was the turn of the German Philipp Raimund. On Saturday, after a fall, Raimund was still in 46th place, but on Sunday, with two outstanding jumps, he ensured a magnificent day's victory. The 22-year-old from SC Oberstdorf jumped 33.6 points ahead of second-placed Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng, a huge lead. Previous day's winner Fannemel ended up in third place on Sunday.
"Today was great, there was almost no wind and that's exactly how I like Ruka. Yesterday it was quite windy and I had a crash, so I'm really happy about the success today and of course also about the yellow bib I can wear now," Raimund said.

In the Continental Cup overall ranking Philipp Raimund leads with 280 points ahead of Anders Fannemel (221) and Joacim Oedegaard Bjoereng (208).
