Next high-class Ski Jumping World Cup for the ski jumpers. After the highlights in Neustadt and Ruka, the world's best ski jumpers had the next highly exciting ski jumping World Cup in Engelberg (SUI) on Saturday in good conditions. At a crisp -10°C, Slovenia's Anze Lanisek took the day's victory on the HS 140-metre hill in Engelberg with two outstanding jumps ahead of the two Poles Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Zyla.

Lanisek was still 0.5 points behind Kubacki in second place after round one, but the Slovenian then ensured the close decision (3.3 points ahead) over Kubacki in the final with a top jump to the day's highest distance of 142 metres.
Lanisek also managed to take revenge for last Sunday's competition in Neustadt, which Kubacki had won with 25.7 points ahead of Lanisek.
"My jumps were really good today, especially the second one. I'm not thinking about the Four Hills Tournament yet, there is still too much time before it starts, a lot can happen", Lanisek said.
For Lanisek it was the fourth World Cup victory, the third in the current season (Ruka and Neustadt).
In the overall World Cup, Kubacki and Lanisek continue to fight a duel at the top: Kubacki leads with 550 points ahead of Lanisek (516 points), Stefan Kraft is in third place with 427 points, today Kraft finished fourth in the daily ranking. "Fourth is not so great, but the three were just really strong today, we will have a look how the three jump out such a lead, but I am still very satisfied and happy with my competition today" said Kraft.
Halvor Egner Granerud finished 5th, Andreas Wellinger was the best DSV athlete in 6th place. "The first jump was good today, the second was really cool, I am extremely happy today. The goal now has to be to stabilise such jumps and I will continue to work on that", Wellinger said after his best result in the current season so far.
Pius Paschke confirmed his strong role in this winter once again with 11th place.

Among others, the two Italians Giovanni Bresadola (20th place) and Alex Insam (30th place) were happy about World Cup points today.

The second World Cup in Engelberg will start at 12:30 on Sunday. The reason for the early start time is the final of the World Cup.
