Chapdelaine and Cohen claim gold for Team USA in Dual Moguls Mixed Team Event at Junior Worlds
Jan 09, 2025·FreestyleThe third and final day of moguls action on the Yuka G course at Almaty’s Shymbulak Mountain Resort concluded successfully on Thursday with a thrilling showcase of the dual moguls mixed team event, closing out the first part of the 2025 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships in style.
In just the third-ever appearance of this exciting format, Reese Chapdelaine and Jia Cohen from Team USA delivered an exceptional performance, combining style and consistency to secure the gold medal. Their remarkable teamwork and execution set the bar high and earned them a well-deserved spot at the top of the podium.
For the host nation Kazakhstan, Yuliya Feklistova and Denis Rastruba rose to the occasion, claiming the silver medal and adding to their country’s success in Almaty, with this being Kazakhstan’s third medal of the championships. The home crowd cheered as the duo showcased their skill and determination throughout the day.
The bronze medal went to another Team USA pairing, Anabel Ayad and Chase Littlefield , who put on a strong performance in the small final to overcome Sweden’s Nicolina Stenkula and Noel Gravenfors.
